Its all about truncating the transaction log whenever internal
checkpoint occurs in the database. Here is a good note about it

but am asking about trunc. log on chkpt.(trunc dot log on chkpt dot).
trunc. log and trunc log are the same thing - sp_dboptions will understand
both.
