I've been asked to implement Netbackup on our Sybase servers.

Offhand, does anyone know whether Netbackup supports Sybase
compression (which we currently use everywhere) or do I need to look
into Netbackup's own compression? I couldn't find any mention of it in
the document I've been given (Netbackup Sys Admin guide for Sybase).

Their documentation states using "sybackup::" prefix, eg.
load database mydb from "sybackup::SYBASE12.mydb.D.
0.24312.20-12-2001.23:05:25"
online database mydb

I've just remembered the newer "dump database ... with compression"
command - I will try that but from memory it produces a different
format of dump from "compress::".

But if anyone has any suggestions then I'd be grateful.
